PREVENTING IDENTITY THEFT

Identity Theft and Impersonation are becoming a serious problem both here in South Africa and worldwide.

If you believe you have been impersonated or your identity stolen then;

1. Register with our free Protective Registration Service by clicking on the button on the left of the screen 'Lost or Stolen ID or Passport'. We will circulate your details to all the major banks and retailers to try and stop the criminal use of your ID book. (Conditions apply)

2. Request your credit profile from the credit bureaux;

3. Don't give your personal details, credit card numbers, PIN numbers and other personal information over the phone, the internet or to anybody you don't know.

Protective Registration Service

The free Protective Registration facility is offered to members of the public who are encouraged to register the theft or loss of Identity Books and other personal documents or where there is evidence of impersonation by another person.

Such registration can be made on the Internet through the South African Fraud Prevention Service website.
